Texans Still Open To Re-Signing RB Alfred Blue

According to Aaron Wilson, free agent RB Alfred Blue has interest from several teams, but the door isn’t closed on a potential return to the Texans.

Wilson mentions that Houston’s depth at running back is thin and bringing Blue back could bolster the position and their special teams, especially with RB D’Onta Foreman recovering still from torn Achilles.

Last we heard regarding Blue, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that the Steelers are among “several” teams who have called about him since free agency opened.

Blue, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,337,932 contract with the Texans and is currently testing the free agent market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Blue appeared in 11 games for the Texans and rushed for 262 yards on 71 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 54 yards receiving and one touchdown.
