Titans Interested In Re-Signing S Kenny Vaccaro

Titans GM Jon Robinson says that S Kenny Vaccaro proved to be a good addition for them and played well enough that they’re interested in opening discussions regarding an extension.

โ€œI thought Kenny did a good job for us,โ€ Robinson said of Vaccaro, via TitansOnline.com. โ€œI thought he came in and fit in really well with our locker room, and did a really good job, brought a physical presence to that position group.

โ€œWeโ€™ll just kind of see where it goes moving forward, and see how he fits into the mix here. But I really appreciate what he did for us this year. โ€ฆ I think he earned the right for us to have to discussions (about returning), and when the time comes weโ€™ll kind of circle through that and see if we can get it figured out.โ€

Vaccaro, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $9.425 million contract when the Saints elected to pick up his fifth-year option last year that will pay him $5.676 million for the 2017 season.

Vaccaro was available for several months before eventually signing a one-year contract with the Titans in August of last year.

Vaccaro is once again in line to be an unrestricted free agent this March.

In 2018, Vaccaro appeared in 13 games and recorded 58 tackles, two sacks, an interception and four pass defenses for the Titans.
