Courtney Cronin of ESPN reports that the Vikings are interested in re-signing OT Rashod Hill this offseason.
Cronin says bringing Hill back is a priority for Minnesota, given that he’s an experienced swing tackle who offers position flexibility and is a decent pass protector.
Hill, 28, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss back in 2016. He was, unfortunately, among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.
The Vikings signed Hill off of the Jaguars practice squad back and he has spent the past five seasons in Minnesota. Last year, the Vikings re-signed Hill to a one-year restricted deal worth $3.095 million.
Hill is now in line to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2019, Hill was active for 15 games for the Vikings and made one start for them.
