Vikings Re-Signing ERFA S Anthony Harris & RB Mack Brown

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings are tendering a one-year contract to exclusive rights free agent S Anthony Harris worth $705,000 and he plans to sign it in the near future.

  • Tomasson adds that the Vikings are also tendering exclusive rights free agent RB Mack Brown a one-year, $630,000 deal.

Harris, 26, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia back in 2015. He spent most of his rookie season on the Vikings’ practice squad before eventually being called up in December.

In 2017, Harris appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded 18 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a pass defense. Harris rated really well, according to Pro Football Focus, but didn’t play enough snaps to qualify for their ratings.

Brown, 26, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in 2015. He lasted less than a month in Houston before signing on with the Redskins.

Brown was on and off of the Redskins’ practice squad before he was waived last year and later claimed by the Vikings.

In 2017, Brown appeared in four games and rushed for 29 yards on eight carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with one reception for 11 yards receiving.
