The Vikings have released veteran kicker Ryan Longwell and will move on with rookie sixth rounder, Blair Walsh.
Last year, Longwell missed on 6 of 28 field goal attempts and the veteran will also be turning 38 before the beginning of the season. Moving forward with Walsh may not be the most solid plan as well as the kicker connected on only 54.8 percent of field goals from 30 yards out his last season as a senior.
