According to Mike Garafolo, the Vikings are signing QB Sean Mannion.
Per Ben Goessling, the deal is for one season.
Minnesota had been rumored for weeks to have interest in Mannion as a backup quarterback, so it’s not surprising he ended up signing with the Vikings.
Mannion joins Kyle Sloter as the other quarterback on the Vikings roster. The two will compete for the No. 2 job.
Mannion, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year rookie contract and was testing the open market as a free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2018, Mannion appeared in three games for the Vikings and completed 2 of 3 pass attempts for 23 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.
