According to Matt Maiocco, the 49ers activated WR Richie James from the injured reserve to their active roster on Saturday and promoted WR Kevin White and DL Darrion Daniels from their practice squad.
The 49ers opened James’ three-week window to return from the injured reserve recently, so he was expected to officially join the 53-man roster.
James, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2018. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.5 million contract.
In 2019, James appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and caught six passes for 165 yards and a touchdown. He also totaled 428 kick return yards and 264 punt return yards.
