According to Matt Barrows, the 49ers are designating DL Kentavius Street as a player to return from their injured reserve.
This opens a window for San Francisco to officially activate him to their 53-man roster until the end of the regular season.
Street, 22, was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the 49ers. He is entering the second year of his four-year, $3,070,200 rookie contract that included a $610,200 signing bonus.
He, unfortunately, suffered a torn ACL during a private workout for the Giants during the predraft process last year and has yet to appear in an NFL game. San Francisco placed him on injured reserve coming out of this year’s preseason.
During his four-year college career at N.C. State, Street recorded 120 tackles, 19 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, four recoveries, and five pass defenses over the course of 46 games played.
