49ers restricted free agent RB Matt Breida has officially signed his one-year tender for the 2020 season the announced Thursday.
The 49ers placed a second-round tender on Breida that will cost them $3.27 million for the 2020 season.
Last month, the 49ers were reportedly open to discussing trade offers for Breida given their depth at his position, so this is something to still keep an eye on. (NFLTR)
Breida, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Georgia Southern back in 2017 and finished a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the 49ers this offseason. He’s in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
In 2019, Breida appeared in 13 games for the 49ers and rushed for 623 yards on 123 carries (5.1 YPC) to go along with 19 receptions for 120 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
