Joe Reedy of theย Cincinnati Enquirerย mentions that theย Bengals will discuss a long-term contract withย FS Reggie Nelson on Monday or at least that’s what Nelson’s agent mentioned.
Reedy sees Nelson entering free agency without an extension in place but believes that a deal between the two sides will ultimately get done.
Nelson, 28, is one of the best available free agents at the safety but it’s worth noting that this year’s class isn’t exactly very deep. Still, there’s a chance that Nelson receives some decent offers from interested teams. The Miami Dolphins have been previously reported to have interest in signing him after they hired former Bengals DB’s coachย Kevin Coyle.
