ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Patriots have reached an agreement with WR Brandon Lloyd.ย Jason LaCanforaย mentions that Lloyd gets a three-year deal worth $12 million from the Pat’s.
No surprise here, as this has been reported to be coming for months now. Lloyd will certainly be a more effective weapon than either of Deion Branch or Chad Ochocinco were last year.
We have him listed as theย #19 best availableย free agent in ourย Top 50 Free Agentsย list.

Shalise Manza Youngย of theย Boston Globeย reports that the Patriots are “close” to reaching a deal with WR Brandon Lloyd.
This has been a speculative option for months now since Josh McDaniels left for New England following the end of the regular season. The Patriots have been checking in on a number of veteranย receivingย options in recent weeks including Reggie Wayne. So far Lloyd has visited with the San Francisco 49ers but nothing appears to be imminent. It’s a pretty safe guess that Lloyd will end up playing for the Patriots next season.
