The Denver Broncos placed DB Essang Bassey, LB Baron Browning and Duke Dawson Jr on the PUP list, according to Mike Klis.
All of these players still count against the team’s 90-man roster and can be activated at any time.
Dawson is returning from a torn ACL he suffered late last season.
Dawson, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Patriots back in 2018 after New England traded up with the Buccaneers. The Patriots traded Dawson to the Broncos last year for a sixth-round pick.
Dawson is in the final year of his four-year, $4,704,282 contract.
In 2020, Dawson appeared in 12 games and recorded seven tackles and no interceptions for the Broncos.
Browning, 22, was a part-time starter at Ohio State and was named third-team All-BIG 10 in 2020. The Broncos drafted Browning with pick No. 105 overall in the third round.
Browning is expected to sign a four-year deal worth $4,785,850 million with a $840,618 million signing bonus.
During his college career, Browning recorded 110 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, no interceptions and three pass defenses in 43 career games.
