Per the NFL’s transaction wire, the Broncos have released LB Nigel Bradham from the practice squad with a left squad designation.
Denver also designated TE Andrew Beck to return from injured reserve and activated OT Darrin Paulo from the practice squad COVID-19 list.
This opens up a 21-day window for Beck to practice with the team before the Broncos have to add him to the active roster.
Bradham, 30, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bills back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $2.564 million rookie contract before signing a two-year, $7 million contract that included $4.5 million guaranteed with the Eagles.
Bradham made a base salary of $3.5 million for the 2017 season before signing a new five-year, $40 million contract with the Eagles in 2018. He was set to make a base salary of $8 million each of the next two seasons when the Eagles released him this offseason.
Bradham signed with the Saints back in August but was cut loose a few weeks later. He caught on with Denver’s practice squad earlier this season.
In 2019, Bradham appeared in 12 games for the Eagles, recording 61 total tackle, no sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown and five pass defenses. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 31 linebacker out of 89 qualifying players.
Beck, 24, signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Texas last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and claimed off waivers by the Broncos.
In 2020, Beck has appeared in five games for the Broncos and has not been targeted.
