Browns Place WR Brian Hartline On I.R. & Sign RB Daryl Richardson

The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve placed WRย Brian Hartline on season-ending injured reserve and signedย RB Daryl Richardson.

This comes as no surprise, given that Hartline sufferedย a broken collarbone on Sunday.

Hartline, 29, signed aย two-year, $6 million contract that included a $1.5 million signing bonus with the Browns back in March. He stands to make a base salary of $1.5 million this season and another $3 million next year.

This season,ย Hartline recorded 46ย receptions for 523 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 12ย games.

Richardson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent two years in St. Louis before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets, but was unfortunately among the team’s early roster cuts.

The Texans signed Richardsonย in September and was on and off of their practice squad for most of the year before beingย waived a fewย weeks ago

Richardson hasnโ€™t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he ran for 215 yards on 69 carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with 14 receptions for 121 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
