According to Scott Petrak, the Browns promoted TE Stephen Carlson from their practice squad to the active roster and placed DT Daniel Ekuale on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
Carlson, 22, signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Princeton back in May. He was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed with their practice squad once passing through waivers unclaimed.
During his college career, Carlson appeared in 28 games and recorded 125 receptions for 1,632 yards receiving (13.1 YPC) and 16 touchdowns.
