This moves comes less than a week after the Bengals parted ways with Terrelle Pryor, who has since converted to wide receiver.
Wenning, 24, is a former sixth round pick of the Ravens during the 2014 draft. He was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason last year, but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.
Baltimore wound up signing Wenning to a future/reserve contract in January before last placing him on waivers last month.
Wenning has yet to appear in an NFL game.
