Rand Getlin reports that the Cleveland Browns have signed recently released QB Thad Lewis to a one-year deal.
Lewis, 27, was release just a few days ago after the Texans signed quarterbacks Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer to contracts.
Lewis hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he was playing for the Buffalo Bills.
In the end, it wouldn’t be surprising if Lewis had to compete with Connor Shaw for a roster spot in training camp and in the preseason.
