The Cleveland Browns announced Thursday that they’ve signed third-round QB Cody Kessler to a four-year contract.
Kessler, 23, was taken with the No. 93 overall pick by the Browns a few weeks ago. He was an interesting selection, considering that he wound up being selected ahead of Connor Cook.
However, Browns HC Hue Jackson has spoken highly of Kessler and his accuracy and believes he develop into a solid starting quarterback.
According to OverTheCap.com, Kessler receives a four-year contract worth $3,004,788 to go along with a signing bonus of $664,788.
During his four-year career at USC, Kessler threw for 10,339 yards while completing 67.5 percent of his passes to go along with 88 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
