The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that they’ve placed LB Brooks Reed on injured reserve and promoted LB Pete Robertson and CB Chris Jones to their active roster.
Reed, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with Houston before agreeing to a five-year, $22.5 million contract that included $9 million guaranteed back in 2015.
Reed was set to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2019 season when the Redskins released him in February. He signed a contract with the Cardinals shortly after.
Reed is in line to be an unrestricted free agent next year.
In 2019, Reed appeared in nine games for the Cardinals and recorded six tackles and a sack.
