Chargers Hosting Oregon OT Isaiah World For Top-30 Visit

According to Ian Rapoport, the Chargers are hosting Oregon OT Isaiah World for an official top-30 visit on Friday.

Isaiah World

World suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during the Ducks’ playoff loss to Indiana in January and didn’t attend the NFL Combine after undergoing surgery. Official visits and medical rechecks will be important for World, who is projected as a mid- to late-round pick, but could still go higher after being considered one of college football’s top offensive tackles before his injury.

Teams can host up to 30 players for interviews and medical evaluations at their own facilities, with players who live or go to college in the local area not counting toward that limit. These are often colloquially referred to as “top 30 visits” although they’re not necessarily the top 30 players on a team’s board.

World was a three-star recruit and the 167th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2021 recruiting class out of San Diego, California. He originally committed to Arizona State before committing to Nevada.

He spent three years at Nevada before entering the portal as a five-star and the second-ranked tackle in the portal. World committed to Oregon for his senior season.

In his collegiate career, World appeared in 51 games over four seasons at Nevada and Oregon.
