The Los Angeles Chargers announced that they’ve placed LBย Carlos Fields on waivers Tuesday.

Fields, 26, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Winston-Salem back in 2014. Since then, Fields has played for a number of teams including the Buccaneers, Giants, Colts, Redskins and Bills.
The Redskins signed Fields to their practice squad last year but elected to cut him loose not long after.ย The later Chargersย signed him to theirย practice squad during the season beforeย eventually calling himย up in December.
Fields stands to make a base salary ofย $540,000 for the 2017 season.
In 2016, Fields was active for one game but did not record a statistic. ย in five games and recorded four tackles.
