The Los Angeles Chargers announced Friday night that they’ve signed TE Matt Weiser to a contract and waived S Adrian McDonald.
Weiser, 24, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Buffalo last year, so the team is obviously familiar with Weiser. Unfortunately, the Chargers cut Weiser loose coming out of the preseason and didn’t add him to their practice squad.
During his college career at Buffalo, Weiser caught 92 passes for 1,080 yards receiving (11.7 YPR) to go along with eight touchdowns over the course of 38 games.
