Ian Rapoport reports that the Colts have claimed S Derrick Kindred off of waivers from the Browns on Tuesday.
The Browns reportedly attempted to trade Kindred in recent weeks before placing him on waivers Monday.
Kindred, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,839,356 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $2,025,000 for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Kindred appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and recorded 43 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 90 safety out of 93 qualifying players.
