The Indianapolis Colts officially placed WR Matt Hazel on injured reserve Friday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.
Hazel, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2014. He lasted just over two years in Miami before he was waived at the start of last season and later signed to the Bills practice squad.
Hazel has a brief stint with the Redskins before being claimed by the Colts at the start of last season. The Browns would later add him to their active roster, but declined to tender him an exclusive rights offer this past March.
The Colts elected to re-sign Hazel a few weeks ago, but recently waived him with an injury designation.
In 2017, Hazel appeared in four games for the Colts and Browns and caught one pass for one yard .
