Colts Sign LB Chris Covington To Practice Squad

The Colts announced Tuesday they have signed LB Chris Covington to the practice squad.

16. LB Chris Covington

Covington, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Indiana. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2.6 million rookie contract when Dallas cut him coming out of last preseason. 

Since then, Covington has been on and off the Cowboys’ practice squad. Dallas waived him this past April. 

In 2019, Covington appeared in three games for the Cowboys and recorded two tackles and no other statistics.
