The Dallas Cowboys have officially designated rookie CB Trevon Diggs to return from injured reserve on Wednesday and re-signed C Adam Redmond to their practice squad.

This opens a three-week window of time for the Cowboys to activate him from injured reserve and add him to their 53-man roster.
Diggs, 22, was drafted in the second round out of Alabama by Dallas in 2020. He signed a four-year, $6.32 million rookie deal that included a $2.157 million signing bonus.
In 2020, Diggs appeared in nine games for the Cowboys and recorded 48 total tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, two interceptions and 10 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 53 cornerback out of 116 qualifying players.
