The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Davis, 29, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho back in 2015. He was among Seattle’s roster cuts and eventually signed a future/reserve deal with the Jets.
The Dolphins signed Davis to their practice squad a year later and he’s been on their roster ever since. Davis is in the second year of his three-year, $15 million contract that included $8.5 million guaranteed.
In 2020, Davis has appeared in nine games for the Dolphins, making nine starts for them.
