The Miami Dolphins officially re-signed exclusive rights free agent C Jake Brendel on Wednesday.
Brendel, 25, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to Dallas’ practice squad.
After being released by the Cowboys, Brendel signed on to the Dolphins’ practice squad and managed to make the 53-man roster last year.
In 2017, Brendel was active for all 16 games and played a total of 67 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
