O’Leary, 27, was selected in the sixth round by the Bills in the 2015 NFL draft. However, he was waived at the start of the season and later added to their practice squad. He was eventually promoted to their active roster during his rookie year and just finished his rookie contract.
O’Leary re-signed with Buffalo in 2018 to a one-year exclusive rights deal but was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. The Dolphins signed him to their practice squad before promoting him to their active roster.
O’Leary signed a one-year extension through the 2019 season at the end of 2018.
In 2019, O’Leary has appeared in seven games for the Dolphins and caught four passes for 37 yards.
