Tom Pelissero reports that the Eagles are releasing veteran CB Orlando Scandrick on Monday.
Scandrick struggled during Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys and with the team getting healthier in the secondary, it appears as though the Eagles felt it was best to move on now.
Scandrick, 32, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He was in the fourth year of his five-year, $20 million contract when the Cowboys designated him as a post-June 1 release last year.
The Redskins signed Scandrick to a two-year contract that included $1 million guaranteed only to release him in August. Scandrick later signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs and finished out the year in Kansas City.
From there, Scandrick joined the Eagles in July, but was released coming out of the preseason. Philadelphia brought him back last month.
In 2019, Scandrick has appeared in three games for the Eagles and recorded seven tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery and a touchdown.
