According to Rapoport, Jones was one of three running backs to try out for the Eagles on Tuesday and it looks like he managed to secure the opportunity in the end.
Jones, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Redskins back in 2015.ย The Colts claimed Jones off of waivers from the Redskins, as they cut their roster down to 53 players coming out of the preseason.
Jones was on and off of the Colts’ roster last season, but was recently cut loose.
In 2017, Jones appeared in five games and rushed for 14 yards on five carries (2.8 YPC) and no touchdowns.
