The Philadelphia Eagles announced Sunday that they’ve placed QB Jerod Evans on waivers with an injury designation and signed OT Victor Salako to a contract.
Evans suffered a foot injury and would revert to the Eagles injured reserve list should he pass through waivers unclaimed.
Evans, 23, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent last week.
During his one season at Virginia Tech, Evans threw for 3,552 yards while completing 63.5 percent of his passes to go along with 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions over the course of 14 games.
