The Atlanta Falcons officially placed DT Ra’Shede Hageman on injured reserve after clearing waivers on Tuesday.
Hageman, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Falcons back in 2014. He was in the third year of his four-year, $5,335,842 contract and set to make a base salary of $905,076 for the 2017 season when he was waived by Atlanta at the start of last season.
Hageman was suspended six games for a domestic violence incident that occurred last March involving the mother of his child. He wound up sitting out the entire 2017 season.
The Falcons signed Hageman to a contract this past April, but was waived with an injury designation on Tuesday.
In 2016, Hageman appeared in all 12 games for the Falcons and recorded 18 total tackles and two sacks.
