The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they’ve terminated the contract of DL Ra’Shede Hageman, who was placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List this past weekend.
The Falcons requested to place Hageman on the commissioner’s exempt list, given that he is facing three misdemeanors for a domestic violence incident that occurred back in March.
The incident involves the mother of his child. The charges against Hageman include interference with a call for emergency help, battery family violence and cruelty to children in the third degree.
Hageman, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Falcons back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $5,335,842 contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,147,614 for the 2017 season.
In 2016, Hageman appeared in all 12 games for the Falcons and recorded 18 total tackles and two sacks.
