The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they’ve signed 11 players to futures contracts for the 2021 season.
The full list includes:
- DB Delrick Abrams
- OL Willie Beavers
- QB Kurt Benkert
- RB Tony Brooks-James
- WR Greg Dortch
- K Elliott Fry
- DB T.J. Green
- WR Chris Rowland
- DT Chris Slayton
- DB Chris Williamson
- OL Willie Wright
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Benkert, 25, signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia in 2018. He was waived by the team coming out of the preseason but later re-signed to Atlanta’s practice squad.
Benkert re-signed with the Falcons on a futures deal for the 2019 season and was later added to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.
Benkert has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.
