According to Art Stapleton, the Giants will release LB Tae Davis as the corresponding move to free up space for DL Leonard Williams.
Davis was the team’s Week 1 starter at inside linebacker but a combination of injuries and other additions made him expendable for New York.
Davis, 23, was signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Chattanooga in 2018. He signed a three-year $1.71 million deal and was able to make the team’s final roster as a rookie.
In 2019, Davis appeared in four games and recorded five total tackles.
