The New York Giants officially signed nine players to futures contract on Monday for the 2019 season.
The full list includes:
- LB Jonathan Anderson
- DE Jake Ceresna
- WR Brittan Golden
- DE Myles Humphrey
- RB Robert Martin
- LS Taybor Pepper
- OT Victor Salako
- OT Jylan Ware
- DB Ronald Zamort
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Anderson, 27, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of TCU back in May of 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later added to the team’s practice squad.
Anderson has been on and off of the Bears’ active roster since entering the NFL, but he was waived with an injury settlement coming out of the preseason.
In 2017, Anderson appeared in 12 games and recorded 10 tackles and no sacks or interceptions for the Bears.
