Giants Waive QB B.J. Daniels To Make Room For Logan Thomas

Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports that the Giants placed QBย B.J. Daniels on waivers Friday to make room for QB Logan Thomas, who was claimed off of waivers from the Dolphins.

Daniels, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2013. He lasted less than a year in San Francisco before he was waived and later claimed by the Seahawks.

Daniels was off of the Seahawks’ practice squad for over two years before the Texans signed him to their active roster in December of last year. Unfortunately,ย Daniels’ stay in Houston lasted just a few months, as he was waivedย in the weeks leading up to this year’s draft.

The Giants elected to signed Daniels to a contract in May, but it appears as though they would prefer to take a shot on Thomas.

In 2015, Daniels appeared in eight games and record one catch for 12 yards receiving to go along with six rushes for for six yards and no touchdowns. He also completed one of two passes for seven yards.
