Ryan O’Halloron of the Florida Times-Union, citing a league source, reports that the Jaguars are expected to re-sign WRย Arrelious Benn to a one-year contract that includes a second-year option.
- Mike Kaye mentioned earlier that Benn is a player to watch for an extension.
Benn, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He spent three years with the Bucs before he traded to the Eagles back in 2013.
Unfortunately, Benn dealt with a number of injuries while in Philadelphia before he was released with an injury settlement at the start of the 2014 season.
The Jaguars elected to sign him to a futures contract after the 2015 season and brought him back last year.
In 2016, Benn appeared in 15 games for the Jaguars and caught five passes for 116 yards receiving and one touchdown.
