Wells, 28, wound up going undrafted out of James Madison back in May of 2014 before signing a three-year, $1.53 million contract with the Jaguars.
The Jaguars picked up Wells’ option for the 2018 season this past February. He was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Well has appeared in five games for the Jaguars before he was placed on injured reserve last month. The Jaguars designed him to return from injured reserve and he was able to play in two more games before the end of the season.
