Unfortunately, they cut him loose during the season.ย The 49ers later signed him to a contract after they lost Carlos Hyde for the season, but was waived towards the end of the year and later claimed off of waivers by the Saints.
Cadet returned to New Orleans on one-year deals each of the past two seasons but was cut loose coming out of the preseason.ย The Jets later signed Cadet to a contract a few weeks into the regular season.
In 2017, Cadet has appeared in three games and rushed for three yards on one carry to go along with three receptions for 26 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
Nelson, 27, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in May of 2014. He lasted just over a year in Cleveland before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad.
The Texans signed Nelson to a future/reserve contract but he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. Houston signed him to their practice squad a day later and eventually promoted to the active roster.
After a brief stint with the Patriots, Nelson signed on to the Jets’ taxi squad.
