Jets Release WR ArDarius Stewart From PS With Injury Settlement

The New Yorkย Jets officially released WR ArDarius Stewart from their practice squad with an injury settlement.

Stewart, 24, is a former third-round pick of Jets back in 2017. He was in the second yearย of hisย four-year, $3.25 million contractย and set to make base salaries of $592,500 and $688,750 over the next two years of the agreement when the Jets waived him a few days ago.

The Jets actually had to a roster exemption for Stewart before they cut him loose after he completed hisย two-game suspension forย violating the league’s PED policy and he later re-signed to their practice squad.

In 2017, Stewart appeared in 15 games for the Jets and caught just six passes for 82 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also rushed for 27 yards and contributed 173 kick return yards on special teams.
