The Jets announced Monday they’ve signed P Matt Darr.
Darr, 26, wound up signing on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in 2015. He was in the final year of his three-year, $1.576 million contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season when the Dolphins elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
Darr signed a one-year deal with the Bills in November, 2018, but was not tendered a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.
In 2018, Darr appeared in five games for the Bills and totaled 809 yards on 20 attempts (40.5 YPA) with a long punt of 55 yards to go along with one touchbacks and five kicks placed inside the 20.
