The New York Jets announced Friday that they’ve signedย RB Jeremy Langford to their practice squad and placedย WR Tre McBride on theย practice squad injured list.
- The Jets also activated rookie CB Jeremy Clark from the NFI list and waived CB Robert Nelson.
The Jets’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL Ben Braden
- DL Deon Simon
- CB Terrell Sinkfield
- OL Geoff Gray
- WR Damore’ea Stringfellow
- DEย Claude Pelon (Injured)
- WRย Jalin Marshall
- RB Akeem Judd
- TE Zach Conque
- WR Lucky Whitehead
- WRย Tre McBride (Injured)
- RB Jeremy Langford
Langford, 25, was taken with the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round of last year’s NFL draft by the Bears. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.139 million rookieย contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season when the Bears cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Ravens signed Langford to their practice squad soon and has been on and off of the unit this season.
In 2016, Langford appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 62 rushing attempts for 200 yards (3.2 YPC).
