The fifth-year option is guaranteed for injury only and won’t prevent the two teams from working on a long-term deal over the next year.
Decker, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2016. He’s currently entering the final year of a four-year, $10.967 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.447 million.
In 2018, Decker appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 36 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
