According to Ian Rapoport, the Lions are placing QB Jeff Driskel on their injured reserve.
- The Lions also signed QB Joe Callahan to their practice squad.
Detroit officially announced the move:
#Lions have signed QB Kyle Sloter to the active roster from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad and placed QB Jeff Driskel on Reserve/Injured.

The Lions claimed QB Kyle Sloter off the Cardinals’ practice squad, so they were clearly expecting to be without Driskel.
Driskel, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2016. He was waived by the 49ers at the start of the 2016 season and was later claimed off of waivers by the Bengals.
Cincinnati placed Driskel on injured reserve coming out of this year’s preseason and signed on with the Lions in September.
In 2019, Driskel appeared in three games and recorded 62 completions on 105 pass attempts (59.0 percent) for 685 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions.
