The Detroit Lions announced Saturday that they’ve waived S Stefan McClure from injured reserve with a settlement.
McClure, 25, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason and returned to Indianapolis on a futures contract last year.
McClure had brief stints with the Redskins, Lions and Raiders before returning to the Lions this past January. Unfortunately, Detroit waived him with an injury designation earlier in the week and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.
In 2017, McClure appeared in seven games and recorded three tackles and no interceptions.
