NFL Notes: Bengals, Dolphins, Jaguars, Lions, Rams, & Texans

Bengals

• QB Andy Dalton and the first-team offense “picked apart” the second-team defense on Saturday. (Coley Harvey)
• TE Tyler Eifert was targeted often as he caught six of the 17 completions from Dalton and totaled close to 120 yards receiving. (Coley Harvey)

Dolphins

• QB Ryan Tannehill “looked sharp” throwing two touchdowns during Saturday’s scrimmage. (James Walker)
• RB Lamar Miller also had a good showing and even broke a few tackles during the scrimmage. (James Walker)
• Miami’s first-team offensive line —  LT Branden Albert, LG Daryn Colledge, C Nate Garner, RG Dallas Thomas, RT Ja’Wuan James — “held up well” on Saturday.

Jaguars

• New Jaguars’ LB Josh Hull received a two-year contract from the Jaguars on Saturday. (Adam Caplan)

Lions

• First-round pick TE Eric Ebron has a “big day” during the team’s Saturday scrimmage. Ebron appeared to be “more confident on the field than he has at any point this camp.” (Michael Rothstein)
• The Lions top-five cornerbacks appear to be Darius Slay, Rashean Mathis, Bill Bentley, Nevin Lawson and Cassius Vaughn as of now. (Michael Rothstein)
• Backup centers Darren Keyton and Travis Swanson struggled snapping the ball on Saturday. (Michael Rothstein)

Rams

• Second-year WR Stedman Bailey had a “big day in general” as he caught close to 10 passes in the team’s Saturday scrimmage. (Nick Wagoner)
• DT Michael Brockers tweaked his ankle on Friday and wound up leaving Saturday’s after getting shaken up again. The Rams could end up taking a cautious approach with Brockers moving forward.(Nick Wagoner)
• Blitz pickup remains a bit of an issue for the Rams’ running backs and tight ends. (Nick Wagoner)

Texans

• Backup QB Case Keenum has had some good moments, but has still displayed a tendency to take off an run when in trouble. (Tania Ganguli)
