Chargers
- Michael Gehlken of the Union-Tribune reported that first-round DE Joey Bosa was in San Diego for a Saturday autograph signing, but has no plans to speak to the media until he signs his rookie deal.
- Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk writes that the Chargers should consider giving into Bosaโs demands to not have offset language included in his rookie deal and the cash flow heโs looking for, considering that missing more time could impact his 2016 season.
Eagles
Eagles HC Doug Pederson mentioned that No. 2 overall pick QB Carson Wentz is likely to be inactive for games this season.
โTypically, the third quarterback is down,โ said Pederson, via PhillyVoice.com. โItโs hard right now to look down the road, but if we had to play this week, Carson would be down. Heโd be the third quarterback. Heโd be deactivated. Thatโs probably the direction weโre heading, I would think is going that route. Obviously barring injury and, as you know, how this game is, but typically the third quarterback, whoever that is, is down on game day.โ
Patriots
Patriots WR Julian Edelman says his surgically-repaired foot is โfeeling a day better than yesterday,โ but didnโt offer a date for him to return to full action.
โIโm feeling a day better than yesterday, and Iโm feeling a second better than the last second,โ Edelman said, via the Boston Herald. โHopefully when that timeโs up, that timeโs up.โ
