Cowboys

• S Ahmad Dixon was fined $22,050 for striking a defenseless player in the head and neck area. (Brandon George)

• Eagles placed WR Arrelious Benn on season-ending injured reserve. (Aaron Wilson)

Jaguars

• The Jaguars waived undrafted QB Stephen Morris, but are hoping to sign him to their practice squad if he clears waivers. (Pro Football Talk)

Saints

• DE Akiem Hicks was fined $16,537 by NFL for his hit on Colts QB Andrew Luck.

Texans

• The Texans are expected to keep veteran RB Ronnie Brown, who has reportedly been a good influence on the younger running backs. (Tania Ganguli)
• S D.J. Swearinger was not fined for his hit on Broncos WR Wes Welker.
